While not develing in its sci-fi delimas, the contains very settle sublime story lines of things to come, a stranger in a new world, and greater knowledge. And just a fun as hell movie to watch.

Best job of acting by Brad Pitt ever, and you can make a case for Bruce Willis too. A great time-travel flick, while having very in your face sci-fi delimas such as world-end, and effect of there after.

From the master, story of a balanced future, and societies best tries to unbalance it. A great performence from McDowell makes this distrubing story work.

Kubrick's second film on this list. From aliens to artificial intelligens,and from evolution to space travel, this is the pure translation of a science fiction film.

A movie about a detective just trying to do his job. From the major storyline to every single detail, this film gives a great glimps of a grimm and realistic future.

First great Science Fiction Film. While truly a social movie about workers and corportations. The inovation in this film and the some that followed are the reason these other movies possible. And no one takes a movie to the extreme like Lang.

Star Wars is the standard and most popular series in this sci-fi world. From Fighting in the snow, to sky city, and that certain father-son storyline this one works on every level. The best part of a play is the climax, which is often tragic, makes Empire Strikes Back the best of the series.
